🗞️ The Latest in AI: Moody’s Corp. to develop AI research assistant
Moody’s Corp. is using Microsoft and OpenAI to create an AI research assistant that will help customers make risk assessments. “Moody’s Research Assistant” will roll out to analysts, bankers, advisers, researchers and investors.
The company expects to have a version to show clients later this year. Moody’s has already rolled out AI assistant technology from Microsoft to 14,000 of its employees.
The move highlights the surging demand from corporate customers for Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service, which allows clients to access OpenAI’s models from the cloud. Microsoft reports that 2,000 new clients have signed up for the service in the first half of this quarter.
Moody’s, a global risk assessment firm, has already been using some of Microsoft’s Azure cloud tools. The company decided it needed Microsoft’s involvement to scale what it’s doing with assistant technology.
