The popular AI note-taking platform Rewind just introduced Rewind Pendant, a wearable device that captures what you say and hear in the real world.

Key points:

  • Rewind’s AI platform records what you see on your computer — the new Pendant aims to bring this feature to the real world.

  • The device captures everything you say and hear, and then transcribes, encrypts and stores it locally on your phone.

  • Rewind says its privacy-first approach offers features that “ensure no one is recorded without their consent.” No additional details were provided.

  • The Pendant is available to pre-order for $59.

Riding the wave: Rewind is the fourth company to unveil a new personalized AI product in the last week. Only time will tell if this is the solution to revenue concerns faced by AI startups and big tech companies.

My thoughts: I’m not sold on wearable AI as a replacement for smartphones, but Rewind Pendant could benefit users with ADHD and memory issues. Still, there are serious privacy concerns that come with a 24/7 recording device.

Step 2: Create images using natural text prompts. DALL-E 3 can understand conversational prompts and create text outputs.

Step 3: Use up to 100 free high-speed generations per week. Once used up, you can keep creating at a slower rate.

LinkedIn just unveiled new AI features spanning its job hunting, marketing and sales products. The features are powered by Microsoft and OpenAI’s tech.

What you need to know:

  • Recruiter 2024 is a new AI-assisted recruiting experience that comes up with better search strings to surface stronger candidate lists. It’s essentially a ChatGPT-style tool that allows recruiters to find candidates using conversational language prompts.

  • LinkedIn Learning is incorporating an AI learning coach built-in as a chatbot. For now, the coach is limited to teaching users soft skills.

  • Marketing campaigns will get a boost from a new product called Accelerate.

  • A new AI search function will help B2B companies find and enter conversations with leads.

The bottom line: LinkedIn has been a heavy user of AI in recent years, and it will continue to reap the benefits of investments made by its parent company Microsoft.
